Research activities
Recently, we detected a series of interesting interactions between scaffold proteins, cytoskeletal/nucleoskeletal components, nuclear matrix components and key-players of the RNA-processing machinery (RBPs) in cancer cells. We aim to:
- determine the composition of the relevant RNA-protein complexes
- investigate the functional significance of such unexpected interactions and their effects on alternative splicing regulation
- clarify their connection to cancer development and progression.
- characterize in detail RNA-protein interactions critical for the outcome of cancers of the gastrointestinal system.
