Sperm cryopreservation

Information

Three fertile males are provided by the investigator, at the age of 8 to 12 weeks. Sperm collection is performed for every male individually, from the cauda epididymis. Before freezing all the sperm samples are analyzed using a sperm analyzer. The information about sperm concentration and motility is recorded. Nine straws of frozen sperm of each male are stored in liquid nitrogen at -196°C for long term storage.
