Post-doctoral position - Fousteri lab (8-10-2012)

A position for a highly motivated post-doctoral scientist is available to study genome maintenance mechanisms and their link to human pathogenesis. The project will focus on the molecular events governing the association of epigenetic mechanisms and transcription with DNA damage response pathways and their biological impact on neurodegenerative and ageing-related diseases.

The project is implemented under the "ARISTEIA" Action of the "OPERATIONAL PROGRAMME EDUCATION AND LIFELONG LEARNING" and is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and National Resources.

Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Life Sciences and have an excellent knowledge of the English language. Strong background in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, genomics or stem/iPS cell biology will be beneficial.
