Postdoctoral position - Target to lead development for RA - Kollias lab (6/12/2011)

A position for a highly motivated post-doctoral scientist is available immediately in the lab of Dr. George Kollias at BSRC Fleming in the context of the GSRT SYNERGASIA project TheRAlead (09ΣΥΝ-21-784). TheRAlead aims to exploit a "hit to lead" concept beginning from several validated target molecules involved in the pathogenesis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), to provide successful candidate leads for clinical evaluation.

Candidates should have a PhD in Biology, at least one high impact, first-author publication and proven expertise in immunology and animal modeling, and must be able to interact closely and productively with scientists from different disciplines (i.e. bioinformaticians, chemists).

The successful candidate will be a member of a highly interactive research group that operates across immunology, molecular biology, systems biology and animal modeling.Researchers will have the opportunity to do research in a state-of-the art environment based on merit, scientific excellence and innovation, as well as to benefit from the Center's Core Facilities (including Animal house, Expression profiling, Protein Chemistry, Transgenesis, Genotyping and Phenotyping, BioIT as well as Technology Transfer).
