Postdoctoral research at the Institute of Cellular and Developmental Biology, BSRC Fleming (Open GSRT Call)
The recently established Institute of Cellular and Developmental Biology
is seeking highly motivated, accomplished candidates to submit proposals
jointly with the Principal Investigators under the Open Call for “Support of
Postdoctoral researchers” recently launched by the GSRT.
Expressions of interest should be sent directly to the Principal
Investigator on the following topics:
• Babis Savakis (
Savakis@fleming.gr )
"Mapping of the non-coding genome in Drosophila by insertional mutagenesis".
Desired expertise: Molecular Biology, Drosophila Genetics and Bioinformatics
a plus
• Efthimios Skoulakis (
Skoulakis@fleming.gr )
“Molecular Neurobiology of aberrant Ras/Raf signaling-dependent learning and
memory disorders”.
“Molecular Neurobiology of attention deficits and habituation”
Desired expertise: Neurobiology, Molecular Biology, Drosophila Genetics a
plus.
Candidates can be of any nationality, must be holders of a PhD for no
longer than 10 years at the time of application and must have completed
their military service, where applicable. Each candidate can only
participate in one application under this Call.
Candidates should email a specific cover letter (maximum 1 page long) to the
PI of their interest, outlining their areas of expertise together with a
detailed curriculum vitae, by September 10, 2010 at the very latest
(preferably by August 31st to allow sufficient time for the preparation of
the proposal).

The Institute of Molecular Oncology at BSRC Fleming is seeking highly
motivated postdoctoral researchers with proven track records to jointly
submit proposals under the
Open Call for “Support of Postdoctoral researchers” recently
launched by the GSRT.
Expressions of interest should be sent directly to the Principal
Investigator on the following topics:
• George Panayotou (
panayotou@fleming.gr ): Proteomics of signalling pathways in cancer.
Desirable expertise of applicants: protein biochemistry.
• Artemis Hatzigeorgiou (
hatzigeorgiou@fleming.gr ): Bioinformatic analysis of miRNAs
• John Strouboulis (
strouboulis@fleming.gr ): Transcription factor function in
hematopoiesis. Desirable expertise of applicants: experience with ES cells
and/or hematopoietic assays.
• Martina Samiotaki (
samiotaki@fleming.gr ): Quantitative proteomics in cancer.

• Eleni Douni (Douni@fleming.gr): Pathogenetic mechanisms in osteoimmunology and modeled osteoporosis using transgenic mice; Genetic, cellular and functional characterization of novel mitochondrial targets involved in neuroimmunological diseases
• Vassiliki Kostourou (Kostourou@fleming.gr): Blood vessel morphogenesis and function in development and disease, adhesion dynamics in endothelial cells, tumor angiogenesis
