Overview
Our laboratory investigates the molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis
associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection.
Magnetic resonance image of a tumor (lymphoma of the central nervous
system, small arrows) surrounded by edema (larger arrows). Most central
nervous system lymphomas are associated with EBV infection. These
malignancies have very poor prognosis. The survival of immunocompromised
patients with central nervous system lymphoma is generally three months
or less.
